Campus Safety Interaction Program (CSIP) Mission
The overall goal of this program is to develop a coordinated approach to educate the student body and to respond to victims of sexual assault and dating violence. We have these specific goals:
- Organize a coalition of university and community agencies to review and develop new protocols and policies regarding sexual and dating violence
- Create a web site to provide information to assist young women on campus
- Train university administrators, security, and judicial personnel to more effectively identify and respond to violent crimes against women
- Present an online education prevention program, to incoming first year students to prevent sexual assault and dating violence
- Establish a judicial review board to oversees the protocol to prevent and review coordinated responses to sexual assault and dating violence on campus.
For students, the program includes an online educational prevention program, a media campaign including posters and pamphlets increasing the awareness of sexual assault and dating violence, and additional resources for help. Campus security and university administrators will participate in a training that will educate, assist in reviewing policies and improve response to violent crimes against women, strengthen, and enhance delivery of services on campus.
